Floral December

Today's outfit is from the same inspiration page I wore from last week... There is still one more inspiration photo on this page!
I liked how the floral top was mixed with stripes. Great opportunity for me to wear the summer Tee in December!

TODAY:
It was the last day of the Preschool today before a 2 week break. We had a potluck holiday lunch and Santa came to give each kid a book gift.
Late afternoon after my husband came home I went to meet up with a few other mommies from the preschool for a game night at one of their houses. It was nice cause it was a group of ladies I don't know that well so this was a great opportunity to get to know them better.

My daughter insisted on wearing t the new dress my SIL sent for her for Christmas today:

The hair bands were part of the gift as well...

THe first time my daughter sit on Santa's lap willingly and without crying!

Gingerbread House

Wearing the thrifted skirt my mom bought for me for the first time.

Got the inspiration from this 'Ann Taylor' ad in a magazine:

I wish I looked as thin as the model in the photo! :(
I loved the idea of pairing the floppy hat and a belted tight top! Very 70s vibe!. What sucks is I took off the hat inside the house then in a rush of leaving I forgot it at home! Such a bummer!

The skirt is all crochet with its own lining! What a great thrift find (by Mom)!

I did this funky mani last night. Brown and neon pink!

TODAY:
It was a fun day at preschool today. We got to decorate the gingerbread houses. I sat with my daughter first then my son. My daugher was totally fine with my suggestions but my son he is a person now and has his own ideas which is something I love about him. I love how confident he is about what he wants and how he is rarely influenced by others. As promised he got to eat part of his house after 'quiet time'.
I did a big costco shopping late afternoon. Ah, I always think it will be a breeze and grocery shopping with two kids never is. You want to smile and appreciate the fun they are having but when they are spinning the cart and jamming it at full speed to a rack full of wine bottles it is hard to see the humor sometimes. And then not being able to find that one item on your list only to discover it is all the way back of the store! I ended up begging the clerk to please get it for me and pointed to my over loaded cart and screaming fighting kids to my case and it worked! Then the whole loading up the car while the kids constantly demand something is always a joy. Luckily my husband was at home when got back and he helped unload.
Tomorrow is our big garage remodel day, so lets see how it all works out!

Little Drummer Boy

I realized yesterday that I missed a great opportunity to wear my rain boots so wanted to take advantage of it today while it was still wet outside.

My inspiration came from the lovely
Kristy
from

I just changed the boot portion from black to red. I was going to add a pin as well which I own but didn't want to poke holes in my leather jacket and plus I was already wearing red in the boots.
I had to add the t-neck under since it was a cold day. Ironic cause she is in Canada and I am in Southern CA!

This necklace would have shown more if I didn't have the t-neck I think!

I saw these boots on clearance when I was shopping for my i-phone cover at Henri Bendel. A store I had never visited before. The boots are awesome. I have skinny calves so they swim in my other rain boots. These are much narrower and much taller. The fit is quite snug and comfy. I should have taken a photo from the back as they have this cute ribbon all the way up on the back seam!

Leather Jacket - Super old TJ Maxx purchase. Oddly looks faux but it is real leather that is crinkly and lightweight.
Silky Blouse - H&M
Striped Top - from Turkey
Necklace, Leggings, OTK socks - Forever 21
Red Belt - Thrifted

TODAY:
My son was feeling OK so we decided to join our outdoor class. But since it was raining the class was moved to a Chuck'e'Cheese! Usually the place is insanely crowded and dirty but at 9:30 AM on a weekday it was very nice. ANd just our group was there so we could let the kids roam free with a mini cup of tokens. Even my 2 yr old managed to do rides all by herself with her own tokens. SHe was so cute. She would get in a car put her token cup and bunny toy in the back and start the ride.
One of my friends was smart enough to print bunch of coupons so we enjoyed pizza, salad and drinks at half price.
 Circle time at Chuck'e'Cheese

Notice the cup of token in the back! :)

In the afternoon my parents babysat when I went to my Dad's Dr appointment. Then I took the kids to my sister and her fiance's house for dinner and seeing their Christmas Tree.
Found and ordered them the perfect ornament to mark their engagement this year:

My daughter was obsessed with their little puppy. She insisted on reading her a book in her bed!
