Wallflower

Wednesday's outfit was another inspiration from "Not Dressed as Lamb" blog:

This was a unique combination I would have thought of. Looked cute though...
My husband got these cheap sunglasses for himself but the style looks odd on him and they fit my face perfectly! :)

Shirt - Ralph Lauren
Skirt - Thread Sence
Sandals - J Crew
Necklace - Bauble Bar
Hat - Target

WEDNESDAY:
Went to preschool class then left early to sign trust documents at a lawyer's office then stopped at home for lunch. PIcked up my son and directly went to to their dentist appointments. Came home just for a little while then took them to swim practice. In the midst of all of this I tried to fit in a workout but had technical difficulties and it took 3 tries but finally finished it by dinner time when my friend came over. That way I could watch our shows with her after the kids went to bed.

Props to Crops

This was worn Tuesday night taking out my son's 1st grade teacher for happy hour with other class parents!

The inspiration was from the beautiful Bee from Atlantic Pacific:

I could never match the quality of her clothes but I did love this pairing of black and white stripes over the fitted midi skirt in hot pink…. And somehow I pulled off a slightly cropped top (or I hope I did). This is as cropped as I can do I feel at my age. The top is not cropped unless I lift my arms as you can see from other photos…
And I decided to add my black and white heels instead of all black cause I love these heels and they always look so sexy and edgy under everything.

This oversized pearl earrings look super cool with the outfit right?
And couldn't stop there and added turquoise leather ring and wrap around bracelet too...

My mom thrifted this Boston Proper crochet skirt as a gift for me. So stretchy and comfy and fully lined.

This is the third outfit I am pairing with the pouch clutch my sister got me for Mother's Day. It just adds the right amount of pop of color and fun….

Top - Topshop
Skirt - Boston Proper
Earrings - H&M
Bracelet - Cookie Lee
Ring - From Turkey
Purse - Kate Spade
Heels - Rock Republic (Kohl's)
Sunglasses - Wild Fox

TUESDAY:
Knowing I was going to dress up in the afternoon I started the day wearing workout clothes so I can fit in a workout before showering and going out. Went to my daughter's outdoor class in the park. It was the last class of the semester but right next week the summer semester will start so no big good-bye's yet. Afterwards we got home and I did a workout and shower and picked up my son and brought him home where my mom met me to take over the kids so I can go out with the parents and my son's teacher for an early happy hour to thank her for all her hard work all school year long. There were a few dad's and mostly mom's and it was so much fun to get to know everyone over drinks. Too bad the school is almost over but you never know we might be in the same class again next year or the year after…
Got home and immediately changed and cleaned up dinner dishes and helped get the kids to bed so by the time my husband came home he couldn't believe I had already gone out and come back. AT least I had photos to prove what I looked like! :)

Our teacher is the one in the middle in a white top...

Patio Dining

My goodness it is taking me forever to catch-up even though I am posting every night.

My outfit for going out with the girls Monday night. I didn't mark but I think this inspiration was saved from pintrest:

This cute purse my sister got me has been going great with every outfit lately….

Jacket - Kika Paprika
Tee - Forever 21
Shorts - H&M
Scarf - TJ Maxx
Booties - Michael Antonio
Purse - Kate Spade

MONDAY:
Started the day with my workout clothes. Went my daughter's school and afterwards we went to Von's near my son's school to pick up popsicles for his class then went to the school. Except I had double booked myself cause I had my daughter's kindergarten assessment appointment and plans to give treats to my son's class to celebrate his b-day all at the same time. Made it work somehow with help of ladies in the school office.

With his Teacher:

Afterwards we came home for just a little while and yet I managed to fit a workout and a shower and then took the kids for swim practice/class….

After swim we came home and showered and changed the kids while I finished dressing and make-up. My hubby was sick so he was already working from home and took over the kids and I left with my friend to meet the girls after leaving the family with leftovers for dinner.

The girls and I went to a place we used to go often but had changed ownership. Quite close to my house too so that was convenient… It was a great time as always….

I am a great beleiver in over dressing

This was the sports jersey gone chic outfit I wore to my son's 7th Birthday Party….

Inspired by Vogue Sept 2013 Issue:

You  might ask why I own this Jersey well it was purchased by my brother for my son when he was 1 or 2 years old. My brother who had no kids at the time was under the impression this size was appropriate for that age somehow! He still has one more year to grow into it but fits me fine….

Sunglasses - Betsey Johnson
Jersey - NBL jersey
Pants, necklaces - Forever 21
Heels - Bebe
Purse - Shoedazzle

SUNDAY:
Well it was the last day of our crazy weekend. Woke up super early to try to catch my son in his bed but I was too late even by 6:15 he was already downstairs. I don't know when this kid wakes up. He is crazy. Got him to come back to bed with us and we cuddled and wished him a big happy birthday and gave him the Football Jersey present. Shortly after breakfast we left for the Karate Studio where his party was to take place. It was a great venue. My son has no interest in Karate but this place had an amazing party package with unlimited number of kids that I couldn't refuse. They taught a very fun 30 minute class for all the kids then ran the pinata process, had my son and daughter break a wooden board and even had him cut his cake with a samurai sword. All the kids loved and they exerted so much energy and were tired at the end….

My in-laws made it to the party and came home with us afterwards visiting from Ventura county. Had the kids relax and play as I unpacked and cleaned the party stuff. My son opened a few presents but I make him write a thank you card for each present he opens so it will take him a while to open them all.

My son shared a bday with his grandpa who celebrated his 70th on Sunday! So I made the two birthday boys an amazing surf and turf dinner with filet mignon steak and Alaskan king crab leg.
Added sausage, hard boiled egg and boiled potatoes and grilled asparagus and tomato and marinated mushrooms. Even got them special pots to serve the meal.

Yes my son ate 90% of that plate. He is something else when it comes to food. Crab legs and lobster and sushis are his favorites followed by noodles.
