Weather continues to be cold (for SD anyway) so continuing to wear my boots.
Outfit: Skinny jeans, cream/peach/brown colored plaid shirt untucked by cynched with a double brown skinny belt. Slouchy boots over the skinny jeans. Topping it all guess rabbit fur white jacket. Betsey brown heart necklace and Michael Kors brown/gold watch.
Activities: Taking son to trial dance class (spent the 85% of the class sitting on the floor with him), watched acrobats in Horton Plaza mall in the afternoon than a horrendous dinner at chuck-e-cheese. Never again!
The outfit held really well. When it got hot or when my son was having a very sloppy choclate ice cream treat I took off the white jacket folded inside out and tucked it under the diaper bag over the stroller for protection.

Original - Winterizing a Summer Dress
Well, the weather has all of a sudden turned back to normal here in SD. Kids have not been sleeping again so had a real hard time picking an outfit in the morning. Also my activity was going to involve a lot of walking and it is sometimes tough to be stylish when you have to wear sporty walking shoes.
AM Outfit: Seven bootleg jeans, pink guess henley top, grey hoodie with pink/blue graphic design, pink diesel sports shoes. Made it a bit fun with betsey pink necklace and pink/silver heart bracelet.
Activity: Taking the kids to the zoo in the AM. Hit Kid Ventures (indoor playground) in the afternoon before shipping the kids to grandma's house!
The outfit was barely warm enough. The sun never came out so it remained chilly. I actually could have worn uggs but had no idea the temp could drop so much from the day prior.
For the night I put together an original outfit. I always see mag photos where they wear cardigans or blazer jackets over summer sundresses to make them versatile in winter/fall as well. So, tried it out on my own items.
Night Outfit: Mustardy yellow satin sundress, brown cardigan, light brown skinny belt with brass detail somewhat tied around my waist instead of buckled, cognac colored slouchy boots over tan color fishnet stockings. Gold hoop earings. Light brown Chloe purse. To top it all banana republic khaki colored trench coat.
Activity: Dinner at a downtown restaurant with family to celebrate sister-in-law's b-day.
The sundress and the belt were both from forever 21. The dress cost something silly like $20 and the belt was $8! But paired with a few hundred dollar boots and a purse that costs triple the whole outfit total makes them look pricey!

Purple and Orange
I learned my lesson and wore my jeans with a belt so they wouldn't keep riding down. It worked like a charm.
Outfit: Dark blue skinny jeans, purple t-shirt (slightly loose fitting), crinkled scarf wrapped around multiple times to be just around my neck in purple, orange and pink colors, orange patent flip flops.
Acitivity: Outdoor toddler class in the morning, grocery and TJ max shopping in the afternoon.
I knew it was going to be warm later in the morning but it was still chilly when I left the house so I wore a long black cardigan and my uggs and swapped them for flip flops after I got to the park. In the afternoon went back to uggs.
I do love wearing scarfs especially when the weather is in between. Not too hot yet so you can stand wearing them. I feel they immediately make the outfit more fashionable even if it is just jeans and a tee-shirt in reality. I feel the same way about big statement necklaces. If you wear them over your jeans and t-shirt they look very chic and so little effort.

Having issues with size
So, I guess this is a good problem to have but sure don't feel like it. None of my pants seem to fit anymore. They are all falling off of me. It is annoying because I don't want to buy new things as I feel my current weight/size is not something I will sustain. I would actually prefer to be my old size. Even when I wear belts they just look so baggy.
Outfit: black and white thin slacks (they looked super baggy), white tee with black girl head design, belt, black calf lenght military boots, black necklace.
Activities: Indoor toddler class. In the afternoon taking kids to swim lesson. I ditched the pants for a pair of jeans which were also loose but not as baggy as the pants.
I just might have to go buy couple pants may be. Or wait until summer cause I think my short will be OK.

Adjusting to warm weather
So, it is hot like summer all of a sudden. Figured though I can still wear my winter corduroy pants since it is only February but pair them with a tee-shirt and sandals.
Outfit: Tan color lucky corduroy pants, burnt orange tee, bana republic vest, brown leather belt with tarnished gold buckle, tarnished gold earings with orange stones, bcbg leopard wedge mules.
Activities: TKB at the gym (did this in workout clothes and changed at the gym), playdate at a friend's house, UTC mall with the kids watching dolphins, play area and train.
I made ajdustments to the outfit in the afternoon. I ditched the vest even that was too hot. And swapped the high heel wedge sandals with flat gold open toe sandals for the mall.
It worked pretty good. Won't let me upload an image tonight. will add the photo later...

Red Valentine
So, it is a day later but I am finally motivated and weather appropriate to wear red today. Husband took on kid duty last night so I got some sleep which helps.
Outfit: Navy slacks with red pin stripes, red v-neck t-shirt, red thin belt, silver chain necklace, silver ballet flats.
Activity: Sea world with the kids in the AM, park and grocery shopping in the PM.
I ditched the long chain necklace before the park as it was too clunky. The belt kept moving but it was fine. The slacks which are better with heels kept getting caught in sand in the park but it still worked. I am trying to wear all these work pants hanging in my closet.

Total Lack of Motivation
And it is valentine's day! Both kids woke up multiple times throughout the night. I can barely function so can't even figure out an outfit. Plus the weather warmed up and I was not prepared.
Outfit: wore the same tie dye jeans from yesterday, white tank, red off shoulder cashmere sweater. Was thinking it would be good for valentine's but it was too hot so mostly the sweater was off. Also thought it would be cool to wear cute shoes but was too tired and went with uggs instead.
Activities: Grocery shopping with both kids. Taking kids and dog to dad's house (open house at ours). Leaving the kids there and going to sister's to help her paint her new condo (switched to painting clothes of course).
Hopefully tomorrow will be less tired and more motivated.
