Venetian

Wore this outfit on Sunday (our 2nd and last day in Las Vegas). I was taking advantage of having a day without any kid responsibilites and ability to wear a mini skirt without tights or leggings.

All the photos are taken inside the Venetian Hotel which is where we stayed.

These boots are driving me crazy. They are suppose to stay over the knee for this outfit and I wore thick socks underneath to help but no luck. As you can see they slouch down. I should have just pushed down the sock as well but I didn't want to give up and kept pulling them all day. This skirt was very mini though. No way could I pull it off with the kids.

Sunday's Activities: For the first time in 3.5 years we slept in until 10:30 AM! It was an amazing feeling. I actually did wake up at 7 AM like an alarm clock but forced myself to go back to sleep. We had late breakfast, checked out then met up with our group. Walked around our hotel then down the strip to the 'miracle mile shops' in old Aladdin the new Planet Hollywood hotel. Checked out H&M for a little bit than had lunch there before cab'ing back to the hotel to pick up our bags and head to airport. Lines were insane but did move fast and we had no issues getting onto our plane. It was great to see the kids again. Amazing how much we had missed them I could swear I felt my son had changed and grown somehow in the 1 night I did not see him. Had dinner at my Mom's before finally coming back to 'home sweet home'. :)

This was my outfit for Saturday night. It gets very cold at night in Vegas so decided on these tigh high boots to keep my legs warm.

This is the leather mini skirt my mom thrifted last year. The top is super old and I had bought it years ago from Bebe for a going out top. Now that the animal prints are in decided to wear it.

The shot on the right was my husband's idea but the lighting wasn't right. All these photos are taken in our room.

Saturday Night Activities: This was an action packed night. We first had dinner at Tao, then went to see Cirque du Soleil's Zumanity show in New York New York hotel. The show was interesting. It was supposed to be sexy and sensual and at times it was but these were true athletes so I felt it was more acrobatic than sensual. Amazing stunts though. Unfortunately we felt so tired and sleepy afterwards from sitting for so long. One couple decided to go back to the room but we wanted hang strong so did end up going to our hotel's club since we had passes to get in wtihout any lines or cover. The Club at Tao was pretty cool. Great music. Danced for couple hours and then it was nice to just go up to our rooms. For transportation between our hotel and the show we kept using limo's since they were the same price as getting two cabs. Plus the cab lines were insane. Overall it was a great fun night.

Weekend Trip

Spent the weekend in Las Vegas with no kids! Will post each outfit separately so the post is not huge. Wore this outfit on Saturday. It was comfy enough to travel in and then to walk around Vegas. The inspiration came from a chictopia post:

Saturday Day Activities: Went out for breakfast with my daughter and then drop her off at my mother's. Met our friends at the airport and flew to Las Vegas! There was a bit stress at first when I found out we were each supposed to make our hotel rez and I thought they made ours. But we got the same rate and everything was fine. We checked-in at the Venetian then went out for lunch. Stopped at Wallgreens to stock up on water and snacks then split up. Boys went gambling and the girls went shopping. We met late afternoon to find our husband buzzed and down quite a bit. Went to our rooms to rest and get ready. For the first time in 2.5 years I took a bubble bath while sipping my champagne and reading a magazine. Loved it. Took our time getting ready for our big night out... See the post to follow...
