Jr. Safari

This was my outfit Sunday morning...

There was actually an inspiration photo that goes with this but didn't take the photo of it. I like the combination of mint green and black...

Layered a beaded necklace with the artsy bottle cap owl necklace and a long key charm necklace...

I really enjoyed feeding the deers...

SUNDAY's ACTIVITIES: The camp woke us up at 6:30 PM. It was so cool to wake up to all the animal sounds and to step out overlooking a vast vista where you see Giraffe's and Rhino's and cranes walking in the distance. I have to admit as a person who has spent a week on Safari in Kenya, Africa, this scene was very similar and that has to be a huge compliment to the San Diego wild animal park for getting it right. My son really enjoyed overlooking that view as I packed our bags.
We had a nice hearty breakfast and went on our morning hike by 7:45 AM. This time we went to the lower part of the park to feed the ducks and see couple presentations and more interesting and unique animals up and close.
Then the Roar and Snore event concluded and we met my husband and daughter to start a whole new event of 'Behind the Scenes Safari' which was geared towards kids under 6. It was a bit boring for us but the kids liked it. Once they turn 6 we can do the real caravan safari. This Jr one included going behind the scenes of some small animal enclosures and feeding the animals.
We concluded that by noon and had lunch at the park before coming back home. After almost 48 hours at that park I was done. The entire family took a 2 hour nap! Spent the afternoon at home getting settled.

With my son at 6:30 in the morning!

Starting our Safari with the whole family...

The golf cart was our transportation...

Kids decorated their hats with stickers before the tour started but the hats kept falling so they didn't wear them when the tour started...

Petting Deers

My daughter loved feeding them while my son dropped the food the minute the animal's tongue touched his hand...

Behind the scenes with the Meerkats and feeding them live worms!

Feeding catfish which I had no idea they had in those waters...

Here are the hidden catfish coming to surface once they saw/smell the food...

More funky animal exposures. I have already forgotten the name of this one...

  2. love this look too!
I am jealous of your jeanshort cutoffs..they are a great chic length but still mom/toddler friendly- all the ones I have been trying on are too short...and when I bend over to pick up the lil guy..I feel inappropriate...
Need to see if my TJ maxx has anything similar.
Congrats on your feature below, by the way:))
