Mod Squad

My mod outfit Saturday night was inspired from Lucky's September 2014 issue:

The black and white hat adds instant mod vibe and instead of boots I went with my new platform penny loafers with knee high socks….

Hat - Vintage
Top, Dress, ring - Forever 21
Loafers - Coach
Purse - Thread Show
Earrings - Betsey Johnson

It's Monday Mingle time!
You can find the linky at BonBon Rose Girls this week:

SATURDAY:
We had once again a soccer filled day followed by ballet…

After a goal the kids rush for a hug in the middle of the field. Just adorable...

The whole team was finally present and in uniform for the first time so we captured a complete team photo…. [my son is the one holding a water bottle]

With her 'Teyze' (auntie):

For these little ones the parents make a tunnel for them to run under after the game….

And once we cam back from ballet, I got to shower and change and met my book club ladies at a restaurant to discuss our last book 'The Paris Wife' by Paula McClain.
It is a fictional book about Earnest Hemingway's first wife and the love of his life. A slow but a good read…
We had a brief discussion as half of us had read the book but it was a fun gathering over margaritas and Mexican food.
Then we went across the street to see 'Gone Girl' which was a book we read last month together. Some ladies had to skip it as they struggled with the story line so much that they hated it and felt depressed. I thought the movie was well done and a very good adaptation of the book. Perfect casting…

The next book we'll read is:

  1. I love this outfit, Daphne. Love love love it. The mod style of the Sixties was so fun and appealing. I remember envying girls back then who could wear it. You revive the style beautifully. One of your best looks ever.
