THE WEEKEND:
Well sports have officially started. Both kids had soccer games on Saturday in record heat temperatures. Unfortunately I thought my daughter would be more into it this year but we were wrong and she has very little interest in the sport. I think she made contact with the ball once. The rest of the time she was picking up sticks and twigs from the field like she was on a nature hike. My husband was getting so frustrated. But now that we committed I want to see her finish the season. She probably won't do soccer again.
My son on the other hand gets too into it and was so hard on himself for every goal opportunity he missed. He was also upset his new team is disorganized and were running all around the place. The coach called it 'jungle ball'. Told him the team would get better.
Sunday my son had baseball assessments which my husband took him to thank goodness and I took my daughter ice skating but she wasn't all that into it so we came home for her to swim with a friend and they had a great time even though the friend was really my son's friend.
My son who has grown up 5 years in 1 year opted to watch the Chargers game with his dad and grandpa at their house!

I watched the 2016 Miss USA pageant by myself at night. Couldn't get anyone to watch it with me.
You can tell the qualifications have changed a lot. THe girls are so much smarter, so much more accomplished and have amazing goals and leadership qualities. Beauty seems to have more taken a back role but that is fine. :)
