Lap of Luxury

This was my outfit during the 2nd part of Friday night. After the jumpy place we went home to put the kids to bed and leave them with my mom and changed went out downtown to have more normal grown up celebration of my brother's birthday...

The inspiration was from December 2012 issue of In Style Magazine:

I liked the stark contrast between bright purple top and white blazer. And the hot pink clutch...

Jacket, Top , pants - Forever 21
Earrings - Target
Purse - Asos
Booties - Michael Antonio

SATURDAY
Saturday afternoon's outfit as part of our mommy spa day was inspired by Nov 2012 issue of Allure:

We had a fabulous day at the spa/pool/steam room. Then went to happy hour and dinner and spent hours chatting and laughing and barely made it (10 minutes late) to our movie. The movie was way too low and a bit downer and the hot movie we expected from Ryan Gosling and Bradley cooper but it was at a luxury theater and the seats and pop corn combo was great!

This dish was called 'The Angry Fish' it is a huge white fish fried whole and very crispy and yummy. We did a number on it as you can see below.... We had it with garlic noodles and crispy brussel sprouts. Our apps were $1 oysters and crispy rice. Really yummy food I have to say! Drinks started with  cucamber gin and tonics...

Pump it Up

Aargh! I am so mad. I did this entire post and it just wouldn't 'publish' so I closed and when I re-opened  it hadn't saved it at all!!!! Now I have to re-do it all over....
Anyway this was my outfit from Friday night. It has been a crazy weekend of going out every single night so a lot out of outfit posts that are backed up....

The inspiration for this was from a blog I used to follow before she stopped posting called 'Chicca Style'... It was saved in my inspiration folder for couple years now so just getting around to it....

This bright color block combination was perfect for a busy day that ended up with a b-day party in a jumpy house....Especially when I swapped leggings instead of the skinny pants....

This top which is a new addition for summer to Kika Paprika has this unique opening in the back. I love the interest it adds...

FRIDAY:
Went to my brother's 31st birthday party in a jumpy house. For his single friends with no kids the place was very unique and fun.
For us it was very familiar but we got to jump and slide since the only little ones there were my kids and his son!

Bottom of the slide with my lil sis....

Casual Vacancy

Last night's outfit to book club meeting!

Inspired by last year's (Fall 2012) BCBG Catalog:
I love this sheath dress because it is so basic but not tight. Light and neutral but not white. And below you will see the back detail too.... The only thing I wished was that it was a tad longer...

This Belt I have on has braided fur in the back and sides!

Here is the pretty back detail of the dress. It is so geniusly placed to cover your bra strap!
I spent $30 and got these boots heels and toes fixed and polished and well worth given that they are Escada! Tightest fitting boots I have ever found....

Jacket -
Dress -
Belt - from Turkey
Earrings - from a Thread Show
Boots - Escada
Purse - Chloe

LAST NIGHT:
Had a great night with my book club friends discussing last month's book 'Casual Vacancy' by J.K. Rowling (author of the Harry Potter books)...
The discussion went on till late hours of the night as we went off tangent with each topic but a great opportunity to share our different upbringing and how it has shaped our beliefs and what kind of parents we want to be for our kids. Overall the book I would say got a negative review from us but good discussion producer.
Our next book is going to be Jane Austen's 'Emma' from 1815!

Oh and my friend made this amazing edible flower pot cake! It was delicious....
