What I wore on Thursday as I worked from home in the morning and took the kids to our state fair with a group of friends as it is our tradition every year...
Inspiration from Pinterest:
Even though it is a full day of walking I like to still pick an outfit that has character for our annual day at the fair...
The cotton dress with the 'carwash' trim was easy and comfortable to wear all day and move in. The sandals worked fine too.. Hat is usually a necessity and the light shirt was perfect when it was a bit chilly...
Hat - Farmer's Market in La Jolla
Dress - from a Street Bazaar in Turkey
Shirt - Gap
Sandals - Isabella Rocha
Sunglasses - Karen Walker
DAY AT THE FAIR:
This year since I had to work and the kids had camp we went in the afternoon. It was almost a 40 minute wait to get on the shuttle bus from a nearby high school lot. But we had met up there so we killed time by catching up...
Here are the girls climbing the tree by the line we were waiting in:
My daughter is the one in the fedora with the sunglasses.
We were quite a group in the shuttle bus (school bus) and got lots of stares and comments. 10 kids plus 5 moms!
The adults all had group on tickets to enter the fair and the kids had printed their reading log to get in for free...
Then we hit the classic fair (junk) food for snacks and got the kids their unlimited ride wristbands and hit the ride area for hours of walking around and waiting in lines and watching them ride...
Ended the looong day with more food, going through the animal exhibition and ICEE's to go...
