Just try to ignore me

I have been awaiting some warm weather to start wearing the many combinations I have created in my mind with my Kika Paprika clothing. Today was the perfect day...

I had seen this look on the runway during our collection revealing end of January. I have been wanting to replicate since then. The jacket is the very versatile 'Josie' jacket you can wear many ways. When you top it over a same shade tank top you can pull up the back like a hoodie!

I sell this beautiful cookie lee necklace as well! Goes just perfect...

I missed my roman gladiator sandals...

TODAY:
Had another great playdate at a friend's house. This is a new friend I met at pre school in the beginning of the spring semester. It was instant clicking and by luck our daughters became such good friends right away. And she has a son too my son's age! We were served a yummy lunch and snacks and kids really enjoyed themselves while we got to know each other better.
I love starting new friendships.
In the afternoon my ex husband (yes, you are reading it correctly) came over for a visit. He is visiting from Florida. We hadn't seen each other for almost 5 years although we stay in touch over email. It was great catching up. I know it sounds weird but both my husband and I are in great terms with our ex'es and to us it is just normal. He told me he had breakfast at my mom's house yesterday! We were married for 6 years together for 11 years and I met him when I was 18. That is a long relationship and I am so happy we will always remain the good friends we always were.

Colored Eggs

Today's outfit or the color combination I should say was inspired by this January 2012 issue of In Style Magazine:

Love the mix of coral, aqua and mustard with touches of grey...

Love, love, love this built in necklace infiniti scarf from Anthropologie and my sister for buying it for me on Mother's day Last year!

TODAY:
Had two back to back work conference calls then immediately upon hanging up the phone greeted 6 mommies, 10 kids for a busy Easter Playdate at our house. My friend hard boiled 2 dozen eggs and we had the kids color and decorate them. My other friends were great patroling the kids to make sure they did not go upstairs and cause any damage to the kids rooms like last party. The kids looked like monkey's in a zoo enclosure at times climbing our swing set in very dangerous positions but they had a blast. Everyone brought yummy dishes to share for a potluck lunch and it was a lot of fun enjoying a very sunny and warm day.

Kids rested and napped afterwards and we had a quiet evening at home...

Celebrated the b-day of one of my daughter's friends at the end. Like these kids needed more sugar!

Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters

Oh My goodness, I can't believe it has been 2 days since my last post... I am starting to get very lazy. I had all these grand plans to wear a very cool work outfit over the weekend but the weather was super cold so I wore a combo I have worn before and therefore had no motivation for a photo shoot.

Today's outfit was inspired by a post in Chictopia I have to say 2 years ago I think....I couldn't even find the link but the photo was saved in my files:

I love the silk scarf and the cute hat touches in this combination...

This is my ancient coach scarf! And thought the little metal bow buckle belt was cuter than a plain brown one.

These photos by the way were taken in the midst of my son recovering from this cut incident in the backyard. After 20 minutes of taking care of his tiny cut I still had to re assure him between each shot that it was NOT the band aid that was stinging his finger! :)

TODAY:
We are on spring break from the preschool classes this week so we have an entire week of scheduled playdates every morning. Today was at my Turkish friend's house.
She has a daughter my daughter's age but my son was a good sport and enjoyed playing with them. They made a mess but we at least got to chat and enjoy the amazing Turkish style tea I miss and love so much.
