Every Body Every Wear - Florals

This is a totally sloppiliy put together outfit. After an amazing outfit weekend I kind of got lazy. Plus we were supposed to go hiking today so not that teasy to make that dressy...

Since I missed the 'inspiration Monday' challange which I love, I really want to at least get in on the
EBEW - Florals challange on the tail end...

Also horribly taken photos as you can see. I didn't even zoom correctly on the floral blouse for heaven's sake.

And look half of my photo shoot I was on the phone with the pool company discussing the last minute addition to the cost due to the dark color we picked!

More bad photos...

Floral Blouse - Guess
Cords & Cardi - Forever 21
Hiking Boots - Merrel

Today's Activities: Despite the chaos of the morning we managed to get out on time to conquer the somewhat long drive to the designated state park to meet our Outdoor PreSchool class. They had organized a guided nature trail hike designed for 3-5 year olds. I took a big risk and ditched the stroller and allowed my 2 yr old to hike as well. It was great. My son I swear just eats up any opportunity to learn. He was totally guide's pet, walking right beside him, asking questions and answering all his questions even the rhetorical ones. They got to learn about 5 different kinds of flower and even tasted the mustard flower seeds. They touched bugs and listened for rattle snakes and saw running bunny and a lizard. I only had to carry my daughter once or twice and she was able to finish the very short distance hike that still took 45 minutes at their pace.
The kids continued to run and climb rocks while eating lunch around the area. Then got to watch a nature movie in the visitor center before heading home.
After successful naps we went to the indoor play area where my Dad met us and came home with us for dinner.

Here are the kids hiking ahead with their friend and his mom... You can see my son in the blue shirt next to the guide. Daughter is wearing a red shirt...

Listenning to the guide as he explains the rules...

Checking out a rolly polly!

Hiking with my girl...

Pretty Views...

Class was broken into 4 different groups with separate guides. This was our group...

On another note... Our pool surface was poured today. It is 'midnight' quartz. Tomorrow is acid wash and actually filling the pool back in!

Mother's Day

This was my outfit on Sunday, Mother's Day!

I am having a 'Bee' weekend cuase this is another one inspired by the every so admired Bee from Atlantic Pacific:

I was going to wear my socks OTK too but then opted this way. These bottoms look like a mini skirt but they are actually shorts! Skort I guess you can call them.

I went with this bubble gum pink scarf but wait till you see what my little sister bought me for Mother's day! Goes soooo much better with this outfit!

Since my khaki trench coat has been gone missing mysteriously. I have acquired this new one. I loved it is ruffle back. So unique and cute I thought...

I rarely use this bag but when I do it is such a cute addition to an outfit... I had bought it years ago from TJ  Maxx...

Photos taken at the hotel we went for spa treatments that morning...

Cream cotton top - Target
Trench Coat & Purse - Guess
Skort & Scarf - Forever 21
Socks - Jessica Simpson (TJ Maxx)
Wedges -  Victoria's Secret

Sunday's Activities: It was such a relaxing Mother's Day on Sunday. The only part is I never saw my kids that day but after a few years of being a mother.  A break on Mother's Day is all I wanted.
Managed to pack for the day, iron my shorts, pack my mom's mother's day gifts and book and buy movie tickets all before leaving the house at 9:15 AM after a very late night!
Met the girls at the spa for some amazing relaxing time. I had a facial while they got massages and then we lounged in the steam room and jacuzzi. Since we had planned even though it was cold and somewhat drizzling at times we did lounge by the pool (never took off our robes and used the towels as blankets) but my goodness we were determined to stick to plan. Ordered bloddy mary's and ate lunch then had more steam room before showering and getting ready.
I met my mom and sister at a ceramic cafe. We painted cook items as we chatted and laughed until the place closed. Then had a nice dinner. My sister went home and my mom and I went to see 'something barrowed'.
It was a loooong day but very fun and relaxing...

Here we are the Ceramic Cafe painting away...

I painted a hand mirror, my mom a bud vase and my sister a deviled egg plate (her speciality)...

The back side of our masterpieces. Can't wait to see how they are going to come out when fired...

The gift bag I chose for my mom matched so nicely to the card she chose for me!

And check out the Anthropologie necklace scarf my sister bought me! I had been lusting over this since it was pictured on the cover of their latest catalog...

Doesn't it just go perfect?

Bee Inspired

This was my outfit Saturday night! I am totally behind in posts as I had a great but jam packed weekend. So hoping to catch-up one outfit at a time I guess...

This combo was inspired for the every so stylish Bee from Atlantic Pacific which you all know I am certain...

I am not as brave as her pulling off a high bun so I went with  my norma hair style and no glasses...

Although I also have a closed toe platforms like hers I decided to go with my open toe ones due to season and I had just gottan a pedicure!
The weather was definitely chilly enough to wear the faux fur collar trim without it looking weird in May.

Like Bee I went with the red patent belt which blends in but adds a bit of shine. Then loaded up on baubles with pearls and silver rhinestones on both wrists and fingers and the pin that holds the scarf...
The patent leather clutch is just a perfect blending in purse that does not take away from the outfit.

Photos taken on our freshly drying concerete...

My  husband tries to catch some action shots...

This outfit was perfect as it was still somewhat casual with red jeans but dressy enough with accessories to be suitable for a couples date night dinner.

Satin Blouse & Red Capri Jeans - Forever 21
Belt - thrifted
Faux fur collar - from Victoria's secret shrug
Platforms - Aldo (from Zappos)
Clutch - Express
Bracelets - some from Forever 21, some from Tiffany's

Saturday's Activities: It wasn overcast day and as my husband with my step dad on researching fake grass surfacing for our play area, I took the kids to Sea World by myself. It was fun hanging out just the 3 of us.
After naps my husband took them to my mom and step dad's while I got a mani and pedi then got ready for our couples date night!

Had a really nice dinner where they cook it all in front of you on a hot grill. These places are fun with a big group like ours. The funny thing is we had a nice long dinner and had a great time and when we finished we all had to laugh cause it was only 8:45 PM! We realized no way could we end the night that early and it would be pathetic. So we started an adventure of trying to find a bar near by which was not a bar neighbrhood. Needless to say it was quite a fun night!

Here are some photos from early in the night:
