Grouchy Ladybug

Trying to catch-up on outfit posts.... This was my outfit Sunday for a work event.... Wearing Kika Spring pieces as the weather was finally warm for a change...
Doesn't these colors/pieces just scream spring to you? I love them... And even though I went casual with flat sandals brought the glam back with high shine gold accessories...

Peplum back and cropped front....Got to love my namesake jacket....

I have been eyeing this style sandals by Dolce Vita for a while so it was a happy moment when my sister spotted them at Nordstrom's Rack for half the price!

MONDAY's OUTFIT
Well the weather has cooled off once again. Such a bummer too. But that is OK gave me a chance to try out the new skinny pants added to Kika's summer collection. My goodness are these the most comfortable pair I have ever seen. They fit and feel like leggings but are thicker and with mock front and real back pockets they look like pants so you can wear something short on top as well. The fabric is ponte knit but made with organic cotton instead of polyester so it totally breathes and does not cause your legs to get hot. So soft too... The waist band is flat and soft and stretchy but not elastic nor does it have zippers or buttons.

I topped with grey and white pieces and allowed the hot pink jacket to just pop....

The boots I snatched from Kika's runway with a spot and all but I love them....

'Natalie' tencel twill jacket in peony by kika Paprika - $135
'Lil' tank top in steel grey by kika Paprika - $40
'Skinny Pants' in black by kika Paprika - $90
Hat - $20

MONDAY:
Went to my daughter's pre-school, then came home for a quick lunch and rushed to my son's school to help out the kids get into their costumes for a class play! The teacher gave me the task of dressing for little girls in 'fire fly costumes' which involved footed tights, leotards, tutu's headbands and wings!
For the tights and leotards they had to take off everything and none of them could put on the tights by themselves so it was a challenge for sure but they looked adorable.
My son was a 'lobster'. The play was called the 'grouchy lady bug'.
My mom came to watch and my daughter was 100% focused during the whole play. Then they had a little cupcake celebration before the school ended. Afterwards we went to his hip hop class. Full Day!

Our teacher with the kids help did all these decorations you see on stage! I had volunteered a few times to help kids paint!
