Necklace – Baublebar

FRIDAY:
It was the first morning we all saw my cousin’s son who is almost 2 years old. He is the one that was born in San Diego and spent his first 2 weeks at my house.
They they came again when he was almost 1 to visit but he was still a cute baby that was not talking…
Now he is a total character. A little man. Says the funniest things, wants to do everything himself and wants to be part of every conversation. He is a constant source of laughter in the family.
He adores the kids and they adore him.
They spent the morning playing all sorts of games…

Of course his toddler schedule doesn’t quite fit our schedule but he did finally join us at the beach after lunch and nap. The kids loved having him in the water with him…

We had a nice family dinner at night and of course my daughter put on a performance for the family.
The kids have miraculously adjusted to the crazy hours here. They go to bed around 11 PM to Midnight (adults usually go to bed around 1:30 – 2 AM). We all wake up around 10-10:30 AM and have breakfast shortly after. I can give the kids a bowl of cereal and that way they can wait until the big breakfast with everyone. Beach is a moving target. So far we have been going pretty late like 3 PM and staying until 6:30 or 7 PM. I pack snacks for the beach to get them by and they eat a snack at home. Then dinner is around 9 or 9:30 PM.
I know this sounds crazy for the U.S. lifestyle but that is how it is here in the summer. I just was never able to be part of it with the kids but now they are old enough I enjoy company without stressing about food and bed times….
