Earth to Wine

The whole idea for this look is pairing earth tones (sweater/shoes) with wine colored (OK, bugandy) cords with a flowery statement necklace.

So, I had these photos taken by my husband before he left for work which is super early and I haven't had my coffee yet and you can tell from my face.

I truly love these skinny cords I recently acquired from Forever 21. They fit perfect since they have spandex and the cord is really soft. I love this color, it is deep but bright burgandy. I also bought a pair in Mustard color which is also great. For $14.95 a pair you really can't go wrong. They also have basic colors like black, tan and cream etc...

The sweater is very old. It is v neck front and back.

I really like this necklace. The flowers are silk. The peach and gold goes with everything. After these photos were taken, later in the day I ditched the shirt underneath and wore just sweater which brought out the necklace even more.

These shoes were in my maternity bin I gave to my sister-in-law. She said they don't feet so I took them back. Not sure why I had put them there anyway. I guess I was under some false impression that I would not need flats with kids! They have just the right touch of vintage look to them.

For the evening look I tried the outfit with nude heels but I think I like the flats better.

Burgandy check white blouse - not sure very old
Brown sweater - Forever 21
Vintage flats - Enzo
Nude Heels - Steve Madden
Flower necklace - Charlotte Russe

Today's Activities: Horrible night again. No matter what we do my son keeps getting up at night. We are now down to potty in the room, water, sleeping bag (so he can pull the covers easily) and nightlight and yet he still finds an excuse to scream and bang on the door (which we started shutting). Went to preschool class. After naps, did a round of errands, costco, grocery stores, dry cleanning etc... Came home and cooked and set the table and hosted my dad, brother, sister-in-law, our old friend, her daughter and her daughter's friend for dinner. My sister joined us after dinner. After the kids went down we stayed up late and played 'catch phrase' foreigners (all the Turkish people: my dad, sister and myself and the french friend) against the Americans (my dad's friend, brother, sister-in-law and my husband). It was a lot of fun. I am going to be behind in my blog reading so I apologize. Plus I owe you guys a post from yesterday, but my friend took the photos with her camera and until she sends them I can't post.
