Everybody Everywhere POLKA DOTS

Today's outfit is for the Everybody Everywhere blog's 'Wear Polka Dots' event...
Check out all sorts of fun ways each person styled their polka dots:

This is not my most shining moment I must admit. I only had two outfits with polka dots and one I had already worn (it was this shirt with a green top underneath over mustard pants) and the other was this super cool outfit with a white eyelet pencil skirt and black lace tights which is so not appropriate for the park preschool activity that was on our agenda today!
I tried to put this outfit together in the morning on the fly. And once again I remembered why I keep outfit lists. I can't event describe how impossible it is some mornings with only 10 minutes tops for me to get ready, two kids playing right at my legs, throwing toys all over the bedroom, going in and out of my closet where I constantly fear they are going to get their finger stuck in the door it is just so stressfull. So, trying to come up with a cool outfit idea is really out of the question in this crazy environment and just not fun. With my lists, I keep track of outfit ideas as they come to me or when I try on clothes at my own time etc.. And every night I will figure out what I am going to pick from the list the next morning. So in the morning I just wear the items on the list make any minor changes if necessary and voila done!

I did want to use this chartuse cashmere shrug since I got in on clearance for $10! I actually saw my girlfriend dress her 18 month old in a black and white gingham dress with a cardigan in this color and loved the combo. Just shows you can be inspired even from an 18 month old!

I wanted to add some delicate accessories to the outfit. The thin bracelet watch and a charm bracelet for example. Then I layered two gold toned heart charm necklaces on top. The longer one is a gold locket my husband bought as a present couple years ago. The other is a $4.50 necklace from Forever 21!

I realize these jeans are making me look so 'hippy' and the ironic thing is I literally have no hips, my hips actually go in instead of out so not sure how it is possible.

Silk wrap around blouse - Bebe
Tan colored lace cami - Closet
Cashmere shrug - Charlotte Russe
Boot cut jeans - Yanuk
Military boots - Steve Madden
Jewelry - Anne Klein, gift, forever 21 from Turkey etc...

Today's Activities: It was an ugly morning. First of all my attempts to catch up on sleep and going to bed an hour earlier than normal backfired. I woke up at 6 AM and had a very hard time falling back a sleep until 7 AM which was my wake-up time. Second, my son is just not having a good day. The kid is totally sleep deprived. He wakes up so early (6 AM), usually does not take a nap and always complains how tired he is and it just shows from his crankiness and fussiness. And this morning he was just crying at everything even when I gave him what he wanted. It was just bad.
The outdoor class was good. The kids climbed up and down and ran and ran. They ate a like a champ and both are taking a very good nap thank goodness. Hoping my son wakes up a new boy after getting some sleep.
Posting this early so I can dot he polka dot entry. Wanted to do a gym class with my sister but she is MIA, so might meet another friend with two kids at the mall then do dinner there since both our husbands are scheduled to come home very late tonight.

My friend snapped these photos when the kids started tackling me during the outdoor class circle time:

Some cute photos during this parachute dance/song the teacher did...
