Chic retro

This was the outfit I wore to my daughter's b-day party. I wanted to be cute but still stylish. And this outfit with the total retro look accomplishes that.

I had 'ankle socks' for this outfit but wasn't sure which ones. I put on these polka dot ones and when I looked in the mirror I had to smile. They were perfect!

Every item I have on today except for the ankle socks is at least 5 or more years old and have never been worn together! So, how cool is that?

Heels - Hype
Headband - Off Fifth

Today's Activities: We held a birthday party for our daughter jointly with my friend at a kids exercise/play place called 'way beyond'. It is very bright and clean and unique inside and the location was very convenient with plenty of parking. The prime time slot was taken even months ago so had our party from 9:30 AM to 11 AM. We kept our kid guests under 20 but the adult numbers was quite high which was fine cause they only count the kids. It was a fun and quick party. Some of us stayed and walked into the adjacent mall for some more playtime and lunch. Kids napped hard and woke up to hours of fun of gift openning and playing.

Wondering why the adult numbers were so high? Well this is my family that was at my daughter's party!
This photo includes my husband and kids, my mom, dad, sister, sister's boyfriend, brother, sister-in-law, my cousin's cousin and his girlfriend. My stepdad is missing as he was on a business trip.

  1. Amazing how you can make old pieces work together so perfectly and yes your stockings were so cute!
The birthday girls were precious and especially in matching outfits and hairdo's!!!

  2. The polka dot socks and heels remind me of a Kate Spade ad! Adorable!
