Today's outfit was inspired by the lovely DeLaCruz in Chictopia:
This was pretty simple for me to re-create cause I have the same color boots although mine are not over the knee. I am drawn to outfits like these because the base peices are very comfy: leggings, tee, cardigan.
The outfit actually is quite simple until you add the faux fur scarf and the slouchy boots. I wanted to keep the fur pretty open and away from my neck since the weather is on the warmer side so I used a pretty pin to hold it together. The weather is actually definitely nice enough here to break the spring outfits but I just don't want to let go of fall yet while it is still acceptable to wear boots and fur I want to wear more outfits from this list before switching to spring/summer.
These are my denim leggings. They have the look of skinny jeans but are thin and comfy like leggings. I do love though they still have back pockets. Pockets are key when you are a mom. You always need to stash something it seems from keys to tissues to pacifier. Currently my backpocket is holding our grocery list and my daughters hair pin.
Cardigan - Forever 21
White tee- Target
Denim leggings - Elle from Kohl's
Boots - Via Spiga
Faux fur scarf - came with a shrug from Victoria's secret
pin - super old can't remember...
watch - Michael Kors
Will you join me?
I am participating in the Color Rotation Challange hosted by Colleen at Scrap and Run.
I am not the one for long challanges but this one is only 1 week + 1 day long if you do just one rotation which is my plan...
It starts tomorrow, March 15th and here is the order of colors:
Pink, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and then any pattern
You can check out the rules in this link.
Today's Activities:You can check out the rules in this link.
We switched our schedule this week cause the preschool has asked me to give a presentation to the mommies regarding fashion tips for moms since they heard I have a fashion blog. I worked on the outline yesterday and will work on the handout as soon as I finish this post. Since the preschool is in two different groups Tue-Thu class group and M-W class group I have to go tomorrow therefore we went to the outdoor class today instead of tomorrow.
I will spare you my usual vent about how much I dislike Monday's but just imagine a hard morning once again, plus the time change is killing me.
I cooked during naps and finally I have smartened enough to cook in bigger portions so I can freeze the half for another night. My husband is sick probably has what I had so he is sick at home. Poor thing. At least he can rest and work from home and not have to run after kids or have them jump on his sick body in bed.
Our afternoon was somewhat killed by the cutco sales guy presentation. I have sold cutco knives way back when and this guy is working towards a scholarship so wanted to help out. But it took quite long and the kids were going nuts. As soon as he left we went to the indoor play place.
Not sure where and how I am going to fit grocery shopping. May be after dinner while they are home with my husband. Grocery shopping is always a challange and such a boring errand for me.
Here are some photos from our morning at the park...
My son insisted I take a photo of him swinging:
My daughter in her new outfit sent my husband's grandmother yesterday. So practical and cute.

Hi!
ReplyDeleteI'm your newest follower from the Boost my blog hop. Love your boots! I look forward to reading future posts.
Feel free to check out my blog: http://inadaze13.blogspot.com/
I love this look. I bought a pair of denim leggings for $4 a while ago but they don't have back pockets, so I feel kinda weird in them. I have this aversion to my butt showing in leggings. It reminds me of what kids used to wear when I was back in elementary school; the 80's the first time around.
ReplyDeleteLovely post! and lovely pictures!
